- BBMB has an installed capacity of 2954.73 MW - the third largest installed hydro power capacity in India.
- BBMB also transmits Power in the Northern Grid through a widespread network of 3751.96 Ckt. Km. of 400, 220, 132 and 66 kV transmission lines.
- BBMB maintains some of the largest water reservoirs in the country such as Bhakra and Pong Dam reservoirs and also operates 98 Km. long water conductor system including channels & tunnels.
- Bhakra – Nangal & Beas Projects have been harbinger of green & white revolutions, rapid industrialization & urbanization in Northern Region, besides protecting the downstream areas from ferocious floods.
