Dehar Power House

Dehar Power House with installed capacity of 990 MW (6x165 MW) is a run-of-the-river project also having buffer storage. The Power House is the culmination of a long water conductor system comprising two Tunnels and an open Hydel Channel connecting the mighty rivers of Beas and Satluj. Despite metallurgical breakthroughs, the heavy siltation makes the operation and maintenance of this Power House challenging task necessitating capital maintenance of two machines every year as a regular feature. This project generates a total of 990 MW power from its machines.
