Transmission Network

Transmission Network for Evacuation of Power from BBMB Projects. The power generation at BBMB Power stations is being evacuated through BBMB Power Transmission Network system, running into 3751.96 Circuit Km. length of 400 KV, 220 KV, 132 KV and 66KV transmission lines and 24 EHV Sub-Stations.

12/1976 The first 400 KV BBMB S/Stn. Constructed by Beas Project in 1969. Twenty two 220 KV bays, ten 132 KV bays. Connected to Dehar Power House through 400KV Dehar-Panipat S/C line and Power Grid,Dadri through 400KV Panipat-Dadri S/C line.

Second 400 KV BBMB S/Stn. constructed by BCB in 1983. Connected to Dehar Power House through DeharBhiwani line and 400KV Hisar&Bawana Substations of Power Grid through Bhiwani-Hisar&Bhiwani-Bawana lines.

20/01/1978 220KV Substation helps in evacuation of power from BairasiulHydro electric project. It supplies power to 220 KV PSEB Sub-station Dasuya, 66 KV PSEB Substation, Talwara to Amroh and 66 KV HPSEB Substation Sansarpur Terrace.

220 KV Sub-station (Bhakra Left Bank)

1960-61

The power is being evacuated through two 66KV Bhakra-National Fertilizer Ltd. Nangal feeders, one 66 KV Bhakra-PACL Nangal feeder, one 66KV Bhakra-HPSEB feeder and three 220KV Bhakra-Ganguwal feeders.

220KV Sub-station (Bhakra Right Bank)

1966-68

The power is being evacuated through two 220KV Bhakra-Jamalpur feeder, two Bhakra-Ganguwal feeders and two Bhakra-Mahilpur feeders.

220 KV Major Interlinking Sub-station (MISS) Ganguwal

12/1968

It is a major interlinking Sub-station commissioned in December 1968. Initially, seven Bays were commissioned and later on eleven more Bays have been commissioned from time to time. This Substation plays an important role for evacuation of power generated at different Hydro Power Stations, viz. Bhakra Left, Bhakra Right, Dehar Power House and Ganguwal &Kotla Power Houses and transmission of power to the Partner States of BBMB.

17/11/1968 Connected with BTPS through 220KV D/C line and HPGCL, Faridabad Thermal through 66KV side.

Created for dispersal of Power from Singrauli&Rihand Super Thermal Power Stations. Connected with 400 KV PGCIL, Samaypur Substation through Four 400/220KV, 315MVA ICTs  and with Faridabad Gas Power Plant (CCGT) through 220KV D/C line.
