The Pong Power Plant located on the right side of the spillway, has presently an installed capacity of 390 MW having six units (1x60 + 5x66 MW). An important feature of the generating units installed here is that the machines can work both on generation mode as well as condenser mode. This facility helps in controlling both high and low voltage conditions by providing reactive compensation.
