Dehar Power House is a run-of-the-river scheme also having a buffer storage. The prestigious Power House is the culmination of a long water conductor system comprising two Tunnels and an open Hydel Channel connecting the mighty rivers of Beas and Satluj. Despite metallurgical breakthroughs, the heavy siltation makes the operation and maintenance of this Power House a challenging task necessitating the capital maintenance of two machines a year as a regular feature. This project generates a total of 990 MWs power from its power stations.
